The Faculty of Nursing at Baghdad University discussed the master thesis  tagged) Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices of Mother’s Regarding Oral Health of Children under 5 Years Old at Al-Nasiriya City  (for the student Fatima Asaad Jomaa.

The aim of the study is to evaluate the mother knowledge attitudes and practice about children under five years oral health and Determination the relationship between mother’s knowledge, attitude and practice of oral health and some sociodemographic data.

The letter also included the thesis to indicated that (36%) of mothers at age (25-29) years, (19.3%) middle school graduated, (91.7%) married, (48.3%) homemaker, (31.7%) have one child, (85.3%) have information about children oral health. The grand mean of mothers’ knowledge is (58.1), attitude, (52.4) practice (41.7) and overall evaluation (50.7).

 

The most important recommendations reached by the study: Educating mothers on infant dental care will provide lifelong good oral hygiene habits and will bring down the prevalence of oral diseases considerably. Encourage mothers to regular visit to the dentist clinic to assess and identify any health problems, and the estimate that the researcher got privilege.
