The establishment of the Library of the College of Nursing coincided with the founding of the College in 1962. It is considered one of the university libraries specialized in health sciences. The library is located in the building of the scientific branches of the college and occupies a total area of (373) m2 distributed among the various library units. The library includes three units: the references and periodicals unit, the reading hall, and the Borrowing books, the administration unit, which includes the technical procedures and automatic search unit, and the library has a free education unit.
Unit Objectives:
The library aims to support university education and scientific research in the field of nursing and related sciences by providing sources of information of all kinds and forms such as books, magazines and electronic resources, and to contribute to achieving the college’s educational mission and community service.
Tasks assigned to the unit:
- Obtaining information sources through various modes of supply (purchasing, gifting).
- Organizing this information through the technical processes of each form of information sources.
- Search and retrieve information for students and researchers, each according to his needs.
- Training students and researchers on the correct use of the library and its resources.
- Serving the educational curricula by helping students prepare their research and providing them with the appropriate resources.
The latest publications received by the Library of the College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad
