The College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad achieved a commendable accomplishment at the conclusion of the 4th Ramadan Quran Competition, organized by the University’s Center for Educational and Psychological Research under the slogan “Indeed, this Quran guides to that which is most upright,” and titled “Ambassadors of the Holy Quran.”

The competition, held in Al-Hakim Hall at the University Presidency, witnessed fierce competition among undergraduate students from various departments at the University of Baghdad for the 2025-2026 academic year, where student Khatam Sadiq Hadid from the College of Nursing deservedly secured second place in the women’s category, following an outstanding performance that reflected the college students’ interest in religious and cultural values and their mastery of the rules of recitation and tajweed

For his part, the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Wissam Jabbar Qasim, congratulated her on this achievement, affirming that the college takes pride in its students who combine academic excellence in nursing with adherence to the teachings of the Holy Quran and its moral values, and commending Khatam for securing this top position amidst strong participation from all university colleges

This activity is part of the university’s efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), and to foster an atmosphere of faith and spirituality within the university community
