As part of efforts to support practical training and enhance clinical skills for graduate students, the Adult Nursing Department at the College of Nursing organized an educational field visit for Master’s students in Adult Nursing to Baghdad Teaching Hospital, located within the Medical City Complex. The visit was conducted under the supervision of Associate Professor Dr. Wafa Abdul Ali Hattab.

This educational visit aimed to provide students with a deep understanding of the nursing leadership role in care management while sharpening their decision-making skills in health assessment and patient care. Additionally, it introduced them to the latest clinical and research trends in the field.

The itinerary featured an exploratory training tour across key specialized departments within the hospital, highlighting the medical and surgical units, which serve as core areas for patient admissions.

This initiative is part of a planned series of field visits designed to strengthen students’ knowledge and hands-on skills in adult nursing. Through these visits, the college aims to empower students to accurately diagnose conditions, differentiate between medical cases, and deliver optimal medical and nursing interventions to preserve patient lives and prevent health complications. Furthermore, this step directly contributes to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 4: Quality Education
