The Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Wissam Jabbar Qasim, received the Vice President of the Nursing Syndicate, Dr. Safaa Al-Malki, and the Head of the Disciplinary Committee, Mr. Murtadha Jaafar, in an official visit aimed at exploring avenues of academic and professional cooperation between the two sides and establishing future partnerships to advance the nursing sector.

The visit primarily focused on discussing the complementary roles between the college and the syndicate in updating and developing training programs for students, as well as preparing them for the post-graduation phase to ensure their readiness for practical work. This aims to meet the growing needs of healthcare institutions and contribute to raising the overall standard of direct medical and nursing care provided to patients.

Furthermore, this visit contributes to achieving several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by enhancing the quality of healthcare services, Goal 4 (Quality Education) through improving students’ training and academic standards, and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by fostering effective coordination and collaboration between the academic institution and the professional syndicate.
