The Faculty of Nursing at Baghdad University discussed the master’s thesis tagged) Oral Health Value and Self-Efficacy for Oral Health Behavior among High School Female Students (for the student Farah Fakhri Younis.
The aim of the study is to identify the association between students’ age, families’ socioeconomic status, and teach of oral health value and Self-Efficacy for oral health behavior, and investigate the differences in oral health value and Self-Efficacy for oral health behavior between the groups of grades, track, regularity of oral hygiene, and the history of oral illness.
The letter also included the thesis to There is a statistically significant positive correlation between students’ age and their oral health value. There is a statistically significant positive correlation between family’s socioeconomic status and their oral health value. There are statistically significant positive correlations between students’ oral health value and their Self-Efficacy for brushing behavior, Self-Efficacy for daily life habits, Self-Efficacy for psychological control, Self-Efficacy for dental check-up, and Self-Efficacy for oral health behavior respectively.
The most important recommendations reached by the study: There is a need for the community health nurses to establish health promotion activities that target high school students; particularly the fourth graders with the goal of raising and their oral health awareness. It is vital to incorporate the adequate materials into the curricula of different levels of education that shed the light on the oral health care , And the estimate that the researcher got privilege.
