The Faculty of Nursing at Baghdad University discussed the doctoral thesis  tagged The Role of Emotion Expression and Parental and Peer Attachment on Anxiety and Depression among Middle school students in Al-Nasiriya City for the student Marwa Jabbar Siwan.

The aim of the study is to establish the direction and the strength of relationships between or among variables.

The letter also included the thesis to display all students are not diagnosed positive for panic anxiety. One student only is diagnosed positive for depression. The expressed reluctance and expressed emotions positively predicted students’ proneness to experience anxiety respectively. On the other hand, family’s socioeconomic status and relationship with father negatively predicted students’ proneness to experience anxiety respectively. The expressed emotion and poor awareness could positively predict more students’ proneness to experience depression respectively. On the other hand, relationship with mother and relationship with peer could inversely predict more students’ proneness to experience depression respectively.

The most important recommendations reached by the study: Parents and teachers’ collaboration on nurturing students’ good behavior will decrease the prevalence of depression, anxiety and stress among students in the society. In school teachers should ascertain students’ attitude and behavior at all times while under their watch (during exams, marks, friendship, general health and interest) maintaining a good teacher-student relationship will be beneficial in the long run, and the estimate that the researcher got privilege.
