The Faculty of Nursing at the University of Beirut organized an awareness campaign to conduct medical examinations (checking blood sugar level, blood hemoglobin ratio, and blood group for employees of the General Company for Batteries Industry / Al-Waziriya Factory.
The health awareness campaign aimed to conduct medical examinations for employees for the early detection of diabetes and anemia among employees by conducting a check of the blood sugar level, hemoglobin and blood group, and the necessity of conducting periodic examinations for early detection of diseases.
The volunteer campaign included conducting medical examinations for employees to identify their health status and the necessity of conducting these and other examinations because of their importance in following up on human health and early detection of diseases. Health awareness brochures were distributed to employees about chronic diseases, including diabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension and endocrine diseases, as well as tips and instructions and answers to employee inquiries about other medical conditions.
The researchers recommended the need to conduct medical examinations periodically to know their health status and monitor the most important changes that occur to people with anemia and diabetes, follow up on their health status and follow a healthy diet to maintain their health condition and avoid complications of the disease
