The College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad organized a training course entitled (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) in the presence of a number of employees of the General Company for Batteries Industry / Al-Waziriyah Laboratory.
The course aimed at introducing the staff to the basic principles of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, where the paramedic performs a double process of resuscitation of the heart and breathing.
The course also included several axes, the most important of which is primary or basic resuscitation. It is called primary resuscitation because it begins with resuscitation of the patient to the extent of advanced assistance, which is represented by the medical team or the ambulance team, and what are the reasons that lead to the occurrence of cardiopulmonary arrest and the steps of primary and advanced resuscitation.
The researchers called for the course to learn the paramedic’s skills and master the skill of cardiopulmonary resuscitation by providing assistance to the injured, which helps in saving the patient’s life, with the aim of preserving his life and preventing complications until he is transferred to the hospital or the medical team arrives.
