The students of the College of Nursing, in cooperation with the Media and Public Relations Unit and the Women’s Empowerment Unit at the College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad and with the direct support of the Dean of the College of Nursing represented by Dean Professor Dr. Jabbar Qassem and a group of faculty professors, staff and dear students.
The festival opened with a verse from the wise remembrance, and then reading Surat Al-Fatihah on the souls of the martyrs of Iraq. The Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs delivered a speech in which he congratulated the role of the Iraqi woman, the fighter, the patient, the fighter, the sister, the wife, and the teacher, on her feast, and he praised her role alongside men in achieving outstanding achievements in all areas of life, whether On the educational, scientific and all different fields, he also praised the role of men, who are considered a strong shield and support for women in achieving their achievements and their effective role in all productions on the social and economic levels.
The festival included a number of activities, including a theatrical performance praising the history of women in nursing and considering Mrs. Rufaida Al-Islamiyya as the first nurse in Islam to provide nursing care to the wounded Muslim fighters, who is considered a role model and a beacon of nursing. , the teacher and the doctor, as it has proven its pioneering role in various fields of life on the academic and social levels. In addition to a section on scientific and social questions for the attendees, prizes were distributed to the winners, as well as artistic paintings expressing the role of the virtuous educator mother in society and in facing all the consequences and difficulties of life during her life’s journey. A bazaar was opened to sell paintings, engravings, ceramic tools and handicrafts by students.
In conclusion, the students praised all the love and respect for the Iraqi women and for the female students on their feast, wishing them more giving, prosperity and progress in their lives and their scientific career.
