In a move reflecting academic and media excellence, the College of Nursing achieved a remarkable feat when its magazine, “Treasures of Nursing,” won the award for Best Specialized Newspaper, in addition to securing second place in the magazine category at the “National and International Journalism Festival.”
The festival was held under the patronage and organization of Ja’far al-Sadiq University (peace be upon him), with broad participation from a large group of Iraqi colleges and universities. The event witnessed fierce competition among university publications, as the works were evaluated by specialized judging panels that focused on the accuracy of scientific and specialized content, the quality of artistic production and journalistic design, as well as the publication’s ability to effectively convey awareness-raising and professional messages.
The magazine “Treasures of Nursing” stood out for its ability to combine scientific rigor with an engaging journalistic style, which placed it at the top of the list of participating specialized publications. The college’s magazine winning second place further underscored the integration of its media vision and the college’s commitment to highlighting the vital role of the nursing profession in serving the community and promoting health awareness.
The organizers of the participating delegation expressed their pride in this achievement, which is the result of the support of the Deanship and the efforts of the creative staff in preparing and editing these authoritative publications, emphasizing that this media excellence reflects the college’s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals by enhancing the quality of education and ensuring the health and well-being of society through the dissemination of documented scientific knowledge and the development of students’ skills to serve national and international partnerships aimed at improving health and academic standards.
