The University Psychological Counseling Unit at the College of Nursing, University of Baghdad, organized an awareness workshop titled “You Don’t Need More Time: You Need a Smarter Plan” for second-year students in the morning program. It was presented by Prof. Dr. Waddad Muhammad Kamel.

The workshop aimed to develop students’ time management and smart planning skills, enhance their ability to effectively organize academic and personal priorities, and help them overcome academic stress through practical, evidence-based strategies—all of which contribute to improving academic achievement and mental health.

The workshop covered several topics, including the concept of smart time management, the role of planning in organizing effort, and the application of the priority matrix distinguishing between what is important and what is urgent, in addition to reviewing weekly and daily planning techniques and strategies for overcoming procrastination and digital distractions.

This workshop was organized as part of efforts to support the educational process and enhance students’ academic and psychological well-being, thereby contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, and Goal 4: Quality Education).
