The Faculty of Nursing at Baghdad University discussed the master thesis  tagged) Impact of Psychological Burnout upon Quality of Care among Neophyte Nurses at Emergency Units (for the student Maher Kareem Jubair.

The aim of the study is to find out impact of psychological burnout upon quality of care among neophyte nurses in emergency units. The study aims are to assess the level of burnout and quality of care among neophyte nurses, the impact of psychological burnout upon quality of care.

The letter also included the thesis to that the majority of the nurses were females (55.4 %), age (20-23) years were (60.3%), nursing college graduates were (44.6%), are married were (66.9%), and nurses in one year’s experience were (65.3%). The study showed that the level of burnout among neophyte nurses has no impact on the quality of care provided in the emergency unit. Regarding to the burnout levels the majority of the study sample have low level of burnout (64.5%) and subdomain burnout levels results were of sample low level for emotional exhaustion (64.5%) and the depersonalization have low level (51.2 %). However, personal achievement was reported low level score (64.5%).

The most important recommendations reached by the study: apply for programs in continuing education and use strategies to deal with burnout, implement effective training programs for neophyte nurses, conducting a periodic assessment of the quality of care by the department official and observing and following up on the results , And the estimate that the researcher got privilege.
