The Continuing Education Unit, in collaboration with the Pediatric Nursing Department and the Media and Government Communications Division at the College of Nursing, University of Baghdad, organized a specialized workshop titled “Smartphone Photography Techniques.” The workshop was presented by Assistant Professor Mustafa Wajih Hussein in the college’s diploma hall and was well-attended by faculty members and staff eager to develop their artistic and technical skills in this rapidly evolving digital field

The workshop aimed to introduce participants to the basics of photographic composition and how to utilize natural and artificial lighting to produce professional-quality images, in addition to highlighting the most important modern applications used in photo editing and processing to support academic documentation and scientific activities within the university

The workshop concluded with a number of key outcomes, the most important of which was the need to utilize the technological tools available on smartphones to enhance the college’s visual content, while emphasizing adherence to professional and ethical standards when photographing in educational and medical settings to ensure the quality of media and documentary outputs

Through these activities, the college seeks to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 on quality education through the development of staff and student skills, and Goal 17 on partnerships and cooperation to promote technological means and innovation in institutional work
