The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Nursing, University of Baghdad, organized a specialized workshop on the mechanisms of designing professional presentations using the Canva program. Lecture Hall No. 1 at the college hosted a comprehensive presentation delivered by Assistant Professor Asil Ghazi Mahmoud and Assistant Professor Dr. Najla Abdul Hamza from the Community Health Nursing Department, The event was attended by a large number of faculty members and undergraduate students interested in developing their technical skills

The workshop aimed to provide a comprehensive introduction to the Canva platform as a leading tool for designing graphics and diverse visual content, highlighting how to utilize the program’s interface and core features to create modern and creative academic presentations. The workshop also included practical exercises on how to use digital tools to simplify scientific content and make it more engaging and impactful

At the conclusion of the workshop, the presenters emphasized the need to raise awareness of the importance of using modern designs and tools that help save time and effort for both faculty and students alike, while encouraging participants to leverage artificial intelligence technologies and develop their design skills to support scientific research. This initiative is part of a series of college activities aimed at modernizing the educational environment and enhancing the competence of faculty and students, in line with the college deanship’s aspirations to achieve sustainable development goals by empowering human resources with contemporary digital knowledge.
