The Faculty of Nursing at Baghdad University discussed the master’s thesis) Association between Eating Disorders Behaviors and Body Mass Index among Teenagers  (for the student baneen jaleel abd al-ameer.

 

The aim of the study is to identify the relationship between the eating disorders and body mass index among teenagers from the secondary schools at al- karkh sector of Baghdad city.

The letter also included the thesis to indicated that the majority of students’ BMI percentile values were within normal weight ranges, and that statistical significant between eating disorders behaviors and body mass index among teens especially who age range 13 – 15 years.

 

The most important recommendations reached by the study: Educational programs should be designed to increase parents knowledge and teenagers’ awareness about etiology, types, signs and symptom, treatment of eating disorders and encouraging them to practice healthy eating behaviors by providing scientific booklet, publication and journal about eating disorders, And the estimate that the researcher got privilege.
