In an initiative that reflects the spirit of pride and honor in academic achievements, graduate students in the Community Health Nursing Department at the College of Nursing, University of Baghdad, presented the “Shield of Excellence and Creativity” to the dean of the college, Prof. Dr. Wissam Jabbar Qasim.
This initiative comes in recognition of the leadership role and tireless efforts of the college’s dean and teaching staff, which culminated in the College of Nursing winning first place in the Iraqi national ranking of universities and colleges, reinforcing the college’s position as a leading scientific institution in the provision of medical and nursing education in Iraq.
During the meeting, the students expressed their pride in belonging to this prestigious scientific institution, emphasizing that this achievement would not have been possible without the continuous support for scientific research and the development of the educational environment in accordance with international standards.
For his part, Prof. Dr. Wissam Jabbar Qasim expressed his thanks and gratitude for this kind gesture from the graduate students, stressing that this achievement is the result of the joint efforts of everyone, from the administration and faculty to the students, and that maintaining the lead requires continued dedication and improvement in the level of scientific research to serve the community.
It is worth noting that the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Baghdad’s first place in the national ranking is a decisive indicator of the quality of institutional and academic performance and reflects the faculty’s commitment to graduating competent nursing staff capable of meeting the needs of the country’s health sector.
