The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Nursing, University of Baghdad, organized a specialized workshop titled “Artificial Intelligence in Community Health Nursing,” presented by Professor Ra’ad Karim Faraj and Assistant Professor Asil Ghazi Mahmoud, both faculty members in the Community Health Nursing Department, in the presence of a large gathering of faculty members and undergraduate students in Room 4 of the college.
The workshop aimed to enhance the attendees’ competence and build their knowledge by introducing modern artificial intelligence concepts and technologies and their role in improving the quality of the healthcare system, as well as highlighting its potential in early detection, diagnosis, and prediction of diseases and in supporting clinical and field nursing decision-making, as well as reviewing practical applications and the importance of utilizing these technologies in the field of community health nursing.
The workshop concluded by emphasizing the need to raise academic and clinical awareness of the importance of integrating artificial intelligence tools to improve community health nursing services in the areas of prevention, diagnosis, and treatment, as well as urging and encouraging faculty and students to hone their digital skills and acquire the competencies necessary to use smart applications and apply them in their research and field practice.
This event is part of the Continuing Education Unit’s plan to keep pace with the digital transformation and support the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 on good health and well-being, Goal 4 on quality education, and Goal 9 on industry and innovation through the use of modern technology to serve community healthcare.
