The Faculty of Nursing at Baghdad University discussed the master’s thesis tagged Dependence Severity, Locus of Control, and Readiness to Change in Male Alcoholic Clients: A Correlational Study for the student Wuod Aadi Hasan.

The aim of the study is to assess the level of dependence severity, locus of control, and readiness to change in male alcohol clients and measure the correlation among dependence with locus of control and readiness to change.

The letter also included the thesis to showed a moderate level of alcohol dependence and internal locus of control but high level of readiness to change and external locus of control. High significant difference among dependence severity with internal and external locus of control at p-value= .001. So it found that the dependence severity is affected by the locus of control.

 

The most important recommendations reached by the study: further research should be conducted on alcohol use disorder and Activating the media role to increase community awareness about alcohol use disorders, and the estimate that the researcher got privilege.
