The Faculty of Nursing at Baghdad University discussed the master’s thesis tagged) Assessment of psychological consequences among woman associated with spontaneous abortion (for the student Eman Hadi Sabit Ali.

 

The aim of the study is to assess of psychological consequences for women who suffer from spontaneous abortion at Al-Kut Hospital in Wasit Governorate.

The letter also included the thesis the results were that about 40% of the aborted women experienced a high stress level. (34%) of the aborted women experienced a severe level of anxiety and depression. Also, the study results indicate that about (40.7%) are associated with a low level of self-esteem.

 

The most important recommendations reached by the study: Health care institutions should develop support plans and open a mental health department to communicate with aborted women and reinforce the role of the psychological care for the women, in addition to physical care by the primary health care center. Also, the study recommended conducting a structured teaching program for antenatal mothers with a history of miscarriage, including meaning, causes, and prevention of miscarriage, which also consists of the do and the don’ts during 1st trimester of pregnancy, and the estimate that the researcher got privilege
