The Faculty of Nursing at Baghdad University discussed the master’s thesis tagged Application of Prone Position for Patient with Corona Virus Disease: An Interventional Program for Nursing Staff for the student Wissam Qassim Nasser.
The aim of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of an intervention program on nurse’s knowledge and practices towards the application of prone position for patients with corona virus.
The letter also included the thesis to The results of the study indicated that the (64.4% and 74.4%) of nurses expressed deficit knowledge and inadequate practices respectively, and after the application of intervention program, (72.1% and 76.7%) of nurses expressed good knowledge and adequate practices. There were statistical significant differences in nurses knowledge and practice between pre and posttest (p=0.000); and no statistical significant difference in nurses knowledge (p=0.282) and practice (p=0.101) between posttest one and two (p=0.000).
The most important recommendations reached by the study: Encouraging nurses to be enrolled in training sessions to improve their knowledge and practice to keep them up to date toward COVID-19.
