The Faculty of Nursing at Baghdad University discussed a master’s thesis entitled: “Lifestyle of adolescents: The Mediating Role of Family and School Climate” by Naba Ghani Habeeb under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Essen Kamal Mohammed in the college’s Great Hall.

The thesis aimed to identify the direct and indirect effects of family and school climate on adolescents’ lifestyles. The study concluded that the family climate has the most important and influential role in shaping healthy lifestyles, especially in the presence of a positive, cohesive and compatible environment.

The study recommends the development of basic programs that promote positive values and family cohesion, such as workshops and educational courses, to adopt a healthy lifestyle that supports the physical and psychological development of family members. It also emphasized the importance of promoting joint cooperation between teachers and parents.

These recommendations are directly aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 3: “Good Health and Wellbeing”, by focusing on promoting healthy lifestyles for youth, and Goal 4: “Quality Education”, by emphasizing the importance of a supportive school environment. These efforts contribute to building a healthier and more stable society, supporting inclusive and sustainable development. The student received an “A” grade for her outstanding research efforts
