The Continuing Education Unit at the Faculty of Nursing, University of Baghdad, organized a specialized workshop entitled “The Art of Leadership and Management for University Students,” which was presented in an interactive manner by Assistant Professor Dr. Zaid Waheed Ajel and Lecturer Dr. Khatam Ghazi Attia, with the distinguished attendance of undergraduate students wishing to develop their personal and professional skills.
The workshop aimed to hone soft skills and provide students with leadership tools that fall outside the scope of traditional academic curricula, ranging from the art of effective communication and the ability to persuade others to enhancing emotional intelligence, which enables students to manage their emotions and their team under work pressure, with an intense focus on building self-confidence and breaking down barriers of fear when facing the public and making crucial decisions.
The workshop also included practical training on mastering self-management skills, based on the principle that leading others begins with leading oneself through time management, prioritizing between study and personal life, setting goals, and planning one’s professional future to achieve sustainable development goals, foremost among which is quality education.
