The Scientific Unit at the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Baghdad, in collaboration with the Maternal and Child Nursing Branch, organized a specialized training workshop entitled “Pelvic Floor Muscle Disorders in Women,” presented by Professor Dr. Hawra Hussein Ghaffal in the faculty’s continuing education hall, with the active participation of a group of female teachers and employees.
The workshop focused on providing a precise definition of pelvic floor muscle disorders and highlighting the most common causes, with an emphasis on the importance of therapeutic exercises as an effective tool for prevention and treatment, which directly improves women’s quality of life.
The workshop concluded with key recommendations calling for the adoption of pelvic floor exercises as an essential part of educational and health programs for women, and encouraging the establishment of more advanced practical training workshops in this field.
This scientific activity embodies the college’s keenness to keep pace with global developments in women’s health and make a real contribution to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 on good health and well-being.
