Professor Azra Hussein Shawq, a lecturer at the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Baghdad, received a letter of thanks and appreciation from the international publishing house Elsevier in recognition of her exceptional efforts and effective contribution to scientific evaluation (Peer Review). Her efforts included reviewing and evaluating research output in 2025 international journals for research published in a group of prestigious medical and scientific journals during a prestigious year specializing in complementary therapies, behavior management, multidisciplinary health care, psychiatric and neurological disorders, and pain research, reflecting her academic excellence in pediatric nursing and related sciences.

The journal’s management praised this pioneering role, considering that the experience of the residents is the cornerstone in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of research that shapes the future of the global health sector. This honor confirms the strong presence of Baghdad University professors on the international stage and their ability to contribute to the global research movement with high-quality critical and scientific skills, which directly contributes to the achievement of sustainable development goals, specifically Goal 4 (Quality Education) by promoting standards of academic integrity, and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by activating international scientific cooperation between Iraqi universities and global research institutions.
