The Council of the College of Nursing at Baghdad University held its twelfth regular session under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Wissam Jabbar Qasim, Dean of the College, and in the presence of the members of the Council. The session included extensive discussions on a number of key issues related to the development of the educational process and scientific research in the college.

The session reviewed the directives of the university presidency and the latest academic developments. The council members also discussed their agenda for graduate and undergraduate studies, with a focus on the scientific research plan and preparation for the competitive exam for graduate studies (diploma, master’s, and doctorate). This is in addition to following up on the efforts to rehabilitate the college buildings.

The Dean congratulated the faculty members on the successful completion of the calendar exams, praising their efforts that resulted in achieving high percentages in these exams.

The council also discussed in detail the most important works related to the graduate and undergraduate programs, with the aim of improving the level of the educational process and the quality of its outputs. Through these initiatives, the College Council seeks to actively contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4 (quality education) and 17 (partnerships to achieve the goals). This is through providing quality higher education, promoting scientific research, developing partnerships, and encouraging sustainable practices.
