As part of the series of academic successes achieved by the College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad at the international level, Assistant Professor Dr. Alaa Jawad Kazem, a lecturer at the College of Nursing, was selected as a scientific reviewer for ten specialized research papers in seven prestigious international medical and nursing journals for the year 2025-2026.

Dr. Alaa was selected due to his distinguished academic career, his prolific research output published in international journals, and his accumulated experience as an active member of research evaluation committees. The evaluated research focuses on the development of health and nursing in clinical aspects and provides the medical library with recent studies aimed at improving the quality of healthcare. In recognition of these efforts, Dr. Alaa Jawad received certificates of appreciation from the aforementioned journals for his active role in maintaining the scientific integrity of the published research.
This achievement is in line with the University of Baghdad’s vision of achieving sustainable development goals, particularly the third goal related to good health, the fourth goal related to quality education, and the seventeenth goal of building partnerships to achieve goals by promoting international scientific cooperation and supporting global scientific movement with research and reviewers who contribute to the development of health and nursing in clinical aspects.
