The Department of Pediatric Nursing at the College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad organized a field visit to Sinbad Kindergarten in Al-Shaab City, with the participation of third-year students and the supervision of faculty members.

The visit aimed to achieve educational and training goals for students, in addition to providing a service to the community by evaluating the health of kindergarten children.

The visit included measuring the body mass index and evaluating the physical growth of children in terms of height and weight, with the aim of monitoring their natural growth and the physiological changes they go through at this age.

At the end of the visit, the college team presented a set of important recommendations to kindergarten teachers and parents, including the importance of monitoring children’s health periodically, following a healthy and balanced diet, and encouraging children to engage in regular physical activity in addition to avoiding eating sweets and processed sugars.

This visit comes within the framework of the efforts made by the College of Nursing to promote public health in society, and achieve the goals of sustainable development, which is the third goal “Good Health and Well-Being”
