The Faculty of Nursing at Baghdad University discussed the master’s thesis tagged) Effectiveness of an Educational Program on Type 2 Diabetic Patients’ Knowledge Regarding Preventive Measures of Diabetic Foot( for the student Shahad Sabah Khudair.
The aim of the message: to evaluate the effectiveness of educational program on type 2 diabetic patients’ knowledge regarding preventive measures of diabetic foot.
The letter also included the thesis : The results of the present study showed that the total mean of score was low level of knowledge negative response for both study and control groups respectively, before giving educational program result show that mean of score of Knowledge item in Pre-test (MS=1.33, 1.33) in study group, and (MS=1.32, 1.35) in control group. In addition, there was a significant improvement post receiving educational program high mean compared with before giving educational program. After application Program (Post-test) study group Knowledge improve to become (MS=1.85, 1.84), While control group knowledge still (MS=1.31, 1.37).
The most important recommendations reached by the study: the need for use media and provide Booklets or guidelines on risk factors for diabetic foot and foot care methods to enhance knowledge of risk factors and preventive measures for diabetic foot .And the estimate that the researcher got privilege.
