The training course was held in the library hall of the Martyr Ghazi Al-Hariri Hospital for Specialized Surgeries and extended for four days, in the presence of operating theater nurses from all health departments in Baghdad.
The training course was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Wafa Abd Ali Hattab, Lecturer Dr. Safad Riyadh Isam, and Academic Nurse Muhammad Kadhim Sadiq.
The course topics included: Introducing surgical operations and their types, surgical instruments and their uses, the ideal method for surgical scrubbing, and focusing on the effective role of nurses in operating rooms.
Those responsible for running the course praised the importance of the course in supporting nursing staff and enhancing their abilities in linking cognitive information and skills acquired from the field of work.
The workshop aimed to achieve the seventeenth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals, which is to establish partnerships to achieve the goals in an effort to achieve scientific sobriety in the specializations of the nursing profession and to achieve the college’s mission of providing comprehensive nursing care for the individual, family, and community .
