The College of Nursing organized a scientific tour to the Division of Psychological Counselling and Educational Guidance in the University of Baghdad/Educational and Psychological Center. This tour conducted under the supervision of professor Widad Kamel Mohammed, the head of the Psychological Review and Educational Guidance Unit in the College of Nursing, with a group of distinguished staff, members of the Psychological Review and Educational Guidance Committee, and accompanied by a group of third and fourth stage bachelor of nursing students.
The purpose of this tour aimed to gain and take a brief an overview about the center history since its establishment, the most prominent achievements, and the type of activities carried out by the center. Dr. Fadel Shaker, the center director spoke on the significance of body language and how to analyse and employ gestures. A joint breackfast with students from the University of Baghdad’s College of Nursing and representatives from the Educational and Psychological Research Centre was another aspect of the visit. Recommendations from the tour included stressing the value of job satisfaction and self-satisfaction given that nursing is a profession dedicated to serving the health of the community.
