The Faculty of Nursing at Baghdad University discussed the doctoral thesis tagged effectiveness of instruction dietary pattern –based program on adolescent girls with iron deficiency anemia for the student Hadeel Ezaldeen Muhealdeen.
The aim of the thesis is to assess dietary pattern of adolescent girls with iron deficiency anemia.
The letter also included the thesis that the overall of students have a poor dietary pattern at the pretest, while the students’ iron levels returned to normal in the posttest after instructional program. This study found that most participants) student of adolescent girls) can identify foods containing iron, but lack appropriate iron intake, because of dietary pattern and eating habits. The study concluded that the instructional program is an effective method to correcting current dietary pattern in a vulnerable group of young women that can ultimately improve iron intake.
The most important recommendations reached by the study: Screening program for Iron Deficiency anemia in adolescent girls should be considered and the estimate that the researcher got privilege.
