The Faculty of Nursing at Baghdad University discussed the master’s thesis/ tagged evaluation of self-body image and its relationship to quality of life for women undergo mastectomy for the student Reyam Hussein Yacoub
The aim of the thesis is to evaluate body self-image and its relationship to the quality of life of women who undergo mastectomy.
The letter also included the thesis to indicated that the average age of the participants was 49.22 years, their education was less than primary school and they work as housewives. More than half of the study participants had average self-image perceptions and poor quality of life. There are statistically significant differences in quality of life according to age, marital status, and monthly income. There is a positive relationship between quality of life and body image.
The most important recommendations reached by the study: Necessity of the support of Social welfare institutions for breast cancer patients and implementation of awareness programs to improve self-image to give women who have undergone mastectomy a major social role in taking on essential roles, which increases their sense of value and social status. And the estimate that the researcher got privilege.
