The Faculty of Nursing at Baghdad University discussed the master’s thesis/ doctoral thesis tagged )Effectiveness of an Educational Program on Diabetic Patient’s Knowledge about Early Complications of Type I and Type II Diabetes Mellitus(for the student Mohammed Jaber Hamdi.
The aim of the study is to evaluate the effectiveness of an educational program on diabetic patient’s knowledge about early complications at specialized center for endocrinology and diabetes in AL-Russafa Health Directorate in Baghdad city.
The letter also included the thesis to There are a highly significant differences related to participants’ knowledge regarding general information about diabetes mellitus and early complications about diabetes mellitus; between pre-test and post-test in the study group, whereas there is a slight difference between pre and posttest in the control group. Participants’ knowledge of general information about diabetes mellitus and early complications about diabetes mellitus has been improved after the application of the educational program in the study group. There is a significant association between participant`s knowledge and their socio-demographic characteristics in term of their gender.
The most important recommendations reached by the study: Educational programs should be applied to increase people`s knowledge about etiology, signs and symptom and treatment of diabetic mellitus for patients and their families, And the estimate that the researcher got privilege.
