The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad organized a virtual scientific workshop via Google under the title (Women and Leadership: Visions and Challenges) with the attendance of a number of professors, staff, and students of the college

The workshop aimed to introduce attendees to the concept of leadership and how to develop women’s leadership skills and enable them to play an active role in society by focusing on the visions and challenges women face in society.

The workshop was presented by Dr. Safad Riad Essam as part of the activities of the Women’s Affairs Unit at the college and as part of the college’s efforts to achieve the sustainable development goals, as it contributes to the achievement of the fifth goal (gender equality).
In conclusion, the lecturer emphasized the need to strengthen the role of women through proper upbringing, supporting self-confidence, and increasing community awareness of equality, especially in light of the increasing leadership opportunities for women in institutions.
