The Faculty of Nursing at the University of Baghdad launched, on Monday, June 30, 2025, the competitive exams for admission to graduate programs (PhD, Master’s, and Higher Diploma) for the academic year 2025-2026. This procedure comes in conjunction with the official timings set by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Wissam Jabar Qasim, directly supervised the progress of the exams, where he inspected the examination halls and was reassured to provide the right environment for the examine students. Dr. Qassem stressed the need to strictly adhere to ministerial instructions and controls to ensure the highest levels of transparency and justice in the admission process, stressing that these exams represent a fundamental pillar in the preparation of specialized nursing cadres qualified to supply the health sector.
More than 500 applicants competed in these exams for the study seats available within the admission plan for the academic year 2025-2026. These programs aim to promote precise nursing disciplines, to meet the growing needs of the labor market and development sectors, which reflects the college’s continuous commitment to developing its academic and research programs, and the competitive examination achieves the sustainable development goals of the third goal of quality education
