The College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad, represented by the Continuing Education Unit, organized a specialized workshop titled “Artificial Intelligence in Nursing Education.” The workshop was led by Assistant Professor Dr. Sirwan Jaafar Baqi and saw a remarkable attendance from faculty members and staff in the college’s Continuing Education Hall.

The workshop aimed to provide participants with a deep understanding of AI concepts and their diverse applications. It discussed the role of artificial intelligence in the educational process for students in medical and nursing groups, in addition to highlighting the essential requirements for ensuring the successful implementation of AI in this vital sector.

The workshop concluded with a set of important recommendations that called for Encouraging college professors to adopt AI tools in education and scientific research.Urging professors to motivate students to use AI technologies to enhance their critical scientific thinking.Engaging faculty members in specialized workshops and training courses on the uses of artificial intelligence in the educational process.

This workshop is part of the Continuing Education Unit’s series of activities aimed at developing the skills of the teaching staff, integrating artificial intelligence into student education, fostering their cognitive abilities, and promoting correct scientific practices. This initiative contributes to achieving one of the Sustainable Development Goals, namely Goal 4: Quality Education.
