The workshop aimed to clarify and scientifically correct misconceptions associated with drug abuse, explain the acute psychological effects such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral disorders, highlight the serious social repercussions of addiction on family and professional relationships, raise awareness of the importance of psychological prevention among young people, and introduce the role of psychological and social support psychological and social support in the treatment journey, and highlighting the role of educational institutions in reducing the spread of dangerous behaviors and promoting a culture of health associated with healthy lifestyles

The workshop concluded with a set of key recommendations calling for the continuation of awareness programs and the strengthening of the role of psychological counseling in educational institutions, with support for preventive plans targeting students and encouraging sound scientific research on addiction-related disorders. The workshop also emphasized the need for close cooperation with health institutions and the use of social media and social media to disseminate targeted awareness messages and develop students’ skills in coping with psychological stress. This workshop is part of the Continuing Education Unit’s periodic activities aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, foremost among which are Goal 3 on good health and well-being, Goal 4 on quality education, and Goal 16 on peace, justice, and strong institutions
