The College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad hosted a celebratory ceremony to honor its retiring staff members, recognizing their outstanding dedication and prolific contributions to the college’s educational and administrative mission over years of service.

The event was attended by the Dean of the College, the Associate Deans for Academic and Administrative Affairs, department chairs, and members of the faculty and staff.

College leadership emphasized that the celebration embodies the institution’s core values of loyalty and institutional appreciation. The initiative honors the lasting impact the retirees have made on workflow development while serving as an inspiration for current staff to maintain this legacy of excellence.

This initiative directly aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, by fostering a positive work environment that values human capital and ensures employee well-being beyond their active service. It also intersects with Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being by supporting the psychological and emotional wellness of the university’s workforce.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Professor Dr. Wisam Jabbar Qasim, Dean of the College of Nursing, presented commemorative plaques and certificates of appreciation to the honorees, wishing them continued health, happiness, and success in their future endeavors.
