The Mental Health Nursing Branch at the Faculty of Nursing, University of Baghdad, organized a scientific workshop entitled “The Impact of the Work Environment on Women’s Mental Health,” presented by Professor Qahtan Qasim Muhammad in the German Center Hall. The workshop was attended by faculty members and students from the Philosophy Department at the Faculty of Arts, University of Baghdad.

The workshop aimed to shed light on the concept of the work environment and its various dimensions, and to discuss the direct implications of working conditions on the psychological stability of working women. During the session, the lecturer reviewed a set of practical strategies aimed at improving mental health and enhancing resilience in the face of work pressures.

The event concluded with a set of recommendations that emphasized the need to provide an effective social support system within institutions and the importance of spreading a culture of mental health among all employees, while calling for the creation of positive work environments that support psychological well-being and ensure the necessary balance between work commitments and personal life.

This workshop is part of the college’s ongoing efforts to raise community awareness, which directly contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), by focusing on mental health as a fundamental pillar of quality of life and productivity.
