The Faculty of Nursing at Baghdad University discussed the master’s thesis tagged) Effect of Moral Distress on professional Quality Work and Decision Making among Nurses in Intensive Care Units( for the student or the student Mortada Khudair Abbas .
The aim of the study to examine the effect of moral distress on professional quality of work life and decision making among ICU nurses.
The letter also included the thesis to The result shows the total mean of moral distress was 101.4 moderate level and the men of compassion satisfaction, burnout, and secondary traumatic stress was 38.1560, 27.1468 and 28.1009 respectively. The total score of decision making among nurses was 131.91. There is a significant correlation between moral distress with Burnout, secondary traumatic stress and decision making and no significant correlation between moral distress and Compassion satisfaction.
The most important recommendations reached by the study: Activating a training program to reduce moral distress, as well as supporting critical care nurses, activating the job description for nurses, as well as courses to improve clinical decision-making. And the estimate that the researcher got privilege.
