The Faculty of Nursing at Baghdad University discussed the master’s thesis tagged )Applying Tactical Combat Casualty Care Guidelines for Paramedics: An Interventional study( for the student Mohammed Amen Ali Hussein.
The aim of the study is to determine the effectiveness of an interventional study on paramedic’s knowledge and practices toward applying tactical combat casualty care guidelines, and to find out the relationships between the knowledge and practices and demographical data of paramedics, age, level of education, number of years in first aid, and number of first aid training course.
The letter also included the thesis : The results of the study indicate improvement of the paramedics’ knowledge and practices in the posttest (first and second), and the study also revealed a relationship between the effect of the current program and the education level for the paramedics participating in the study at the level of P ≥ 0.05. The results of the pre-test revealed that the applied practices related to the program domains were inadequate, while the results of the post-test (first and second) showed improvement in their application practices to adequate level due to the positive effect of the present program.
The most important recommendations reached by the study: the inclusion of the tactical combat casualty care program within the syllabus of training courses for members of the military medical services. And the estimate that the researcher got privilege
