Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Alak, teaching at the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Baghdad, was selected as a member of the Peer Reviewer Board to evaluate scientific research in the journal “Nurse Education Today”, issued by the prestigious international publishing house Elsevier.

This selection comes in recognition of his extensive scientific experience and outstanding contributions to the field of scientific research. Dr. Alek has a proven track record of research published in peer-reviewed and prestigious scientific journals, in addition to his membership in the editorial and peer-reviewing boards of a number of international and local journals, such as the Iraqi National Journal of Nursing Specialties.

The journal “Nurse Education Today” aims to promote the reality of nursing health education through the publication of scientific articles in all fields of nursing, which are carried out by researchers from around the world. The magazine is classified within the first quarter (Q1) in the Scopes and Clarivate, confirming its distinguished position in the global rankings.

This achievement is a qualitative addition to the series of achievements achieved by the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Baghdad, which was reflected in its entry into international rankings. This is attributed to the quality of scientific research for faculty members, international cooperation, and the distinguished international reputation of the college, in addition to the high rates of citation of its professors’ research.

This achievement reflects the College’s keenness to strengthen its position as one of the most prominent academic institutions in the region, and contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, especially Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 17 (Partnerships to achieve the Goals).
