The Scientific Affairs Unit at the College of Nursing, University of Baghdad, organized a valuable scientific workshop entitled “How Diet Affects Women’s Health.” The lecture was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Nuha Adel Ibrahim and Assistant Professor Dr. Fatima Fadhil, both from the Mother and Newborn Nursing Branch at the college, in the presence of a distinguished group of faculty members and staff.

The workshop addressed the pivotal role that diet plays in women’s health, highlighting the various mechanisms of its impact, starting from achieving hormonal balance and promoting bone and heart health, to affecting fertility and other health aspects.

The workshop concluded with a set of important recommendations, the most prominent of which was the emphasis on the need for women to adopt a balanced diet that ensures their long-term health and well-being.

Relevant Sustainable Development Goal: This workshop directly contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, by raising awareness of the importance of healthy nutrition and its role in promoting women’s health.
