Based on its keenness to nurture student talents and encourage creative expression in various cultural fields alongside enhancing scientific and practical aspects, the Deanship of the College of Nursing organized an art festival under the slogan “Student Studio…Renewed Artistic Creations for Undergraduate Students.”
The Fundamentals of Nursing Branch initiated the organization of this festival with the aim of discovering and supporting the talents of undergraduate students and developing them, especially in the fields of drawing and Arabic calligraphy, and encouraging them to participate in the art exhibitions held by the college. The festival also sought to create a spirit of positive competition among students and motivate them to explore their hidden artistic abilities and talents.
The festival witnessed broad participation from students across various scientific branches who displayed their diverse artworks. A specialized judging committee evaluated the exhibited works with complete transparency, praising the outstanding creations in drawing and Arabic calligraphy, and urging students to continue practicing their hobbies and improve the quality of their artistic works.
Attendees, including faculty members and students, expressed their admiration for the level of the exhibited artworks, emphasizing the importance of supporting and encouraging these talents. At the conclusion of the festival, the Head of the Fundamentals of Nursing Branch, Assistant Professor Dr. Iyad Majid Musa, distributed honorary gifts and awards to the participating students in recognition of their efforts and to encourage them to continue developing their skills and participating in artistic events inside and outside the University of Baghdad.
For their part, the students expressed their thanks and appreciation to the professors of the Fundamentals of Nursing Branch for their support and encouragement of their talents outside the scope of their academic specialization, appreciating the pioneering role of the Deanship of the College of Nursing in caring for its students.
