Library Unit

The establishment of the Nursing College Library coincided with the establishment of the college in 1962. It is one of the university libraries specializing in health sciences. The library is located in the college’s scientific branches building and occupies a total area of 373 square meters distributed among the library’s various units. The library comprises three units: the reference and periodicals unit, the reading room, and the book lending unit. It also includes an administration unit, which comprises a technical procedures unit and an automated search unit. Attached to the library is a free education unit.

Library Objective

The library aims to support university education and scientific research in the field of nursing and related sciences by providing various types and forms of information sources, including books, magazines, and electronic sources, and contributing to the achievement of the college’s educational mission and community service.
The tasks assigned to the unit:
1. Obtaining information resources through various means (purchase, donation).
2. Organizing this information through technical processes specific to each type of information resource.
3. Searching for and retrieving information for students and researchers according to their needs.
4. Training students and researchers on the proper use of the library and its resources.
5. Serving educational curricula by helping students prepare their research and providing them with appropriate sources.
