The Faculty of Nursing at Baghdad University discussed the Diploma Capstone tagged) Evidence Based Approach in Preventing Musculoskeletal disorder for Nurses who works in Critical Care Units (for the student Hassan Abdul Amir Kazem.

 

The aim of the study is to investigate the views of academics and professionals in the fields of nursing and physiotherapy regarding methods intended to shield nurses from musculoskeletal pain and harm and to identify the elements that make musculoskeletal disorders more likely to result in    injury.

The letter also included the thesis to The most common perceived workplace risk factors for work related musculoskeletal disorders WMSDs included working in the same positions for extended periods of time, lifting or transferring dependent patients, and treating an excessive number of patients in a single day, Lower back pain (56) percent and upper back pain were experienced by (92) percent of the nurses, A lot of musculoskeletal injuries to nurses leave them permanently disabled.

 

The most important recommendations reached by the study: In order to prevent the onset of MSDs in clinical practice, the critical care unit should have a suitable staffing level of nurses to reduce workload on each nurse, Implementing strategies like ergonomics fixes, a stress reduction strategy, and instructional programs in the riskiest departments may be useful for hospital administrators, And the estimate that the researcher got privilege.
