The Dean’s Office of the College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad has opened a number of specialized laboratories and classrooms in the Basic Nursing Department, This follows the completion of a comprehensive campaign to renovate and modernize the infrastructure and equip it with the latest educational and technical resources. The opening ceremony was attended by the college’s senior administration and a select group of professors and faculty members, who praised the speed of implementation and the quality of the facilities that support the educational process.

These updated classrooms and laboratories aim to provide an exemplary learning environment that allows students to simulate clinical and professional settings with high precision, thereby helping to refine their basic nursing skills before transitioning to practical application in hospitals. Through this expansion, the college also seeks to accommodate the growing number of students and ensure they receive equal training opportunities in line with international quality standards, while utilizing modern technology in instruction and application to keep pace with the rapid advancements in medical and nursing sciences.

These classrooms and laboratories achieve the Sustainable Development Goals represented by Goal 4 (Quality Education) by improving the physical environment for education and ensuring that training methods are up-to-date, Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by graduating highly qualified nursing professionals to help raise the standard of healthcare in society, as well as Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by developing university infrastructure and transforming it into innovation hubs that support scientific research and sound practical application.
