The Scientific Affairs Division at the College of Nursing, University of Baghdad, organized a specialized scientific symposium titled “Hormonal Changes and Their Impact on Breast Health” in collaboration with Al-Karkh University of Science. The seminar was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Nuha Adel Ibrahim before a distinguished academic audience, reflecting the importance of the topic in the fields of health and preventive medicine.

The seminar provided a comprehensive scientific analysis of the most significant hormonal changes women undergo throughout their various life stages and the extent to which these changes affect breast health, with a strong emphasis on the necessity of early detection and adherence to modern preventive protocols to promote health awareness among women. The event also featured an interactive scientific discussion during which attendees’ questions were answered and clarifications were provided regarding the role of continuous health education in reducing risks associated with breast diseases and enhancing women’s quality of life.

This symposium is part of a series of periodic scientific activities that the Scientific Affairs Division is committed to organizing with the aim of advancing academic knowledge and opening new horizons for joint cooperation among Iraqi universities, thereby actively contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 on good health and well-being, and Goal 17, which aims to strengthen scientific and educational partnerships to serve society and the health sector.
