The Psychological Counseling and Academic Guidance Unit at the College of Nursing, University of Baghdad, organized a specialized workshop titled “The Flame of Excellence: A Journey to Regain Academic Passion,” which was the result of the diligent efforts of Assistant Professor Dr. Wafa Abdul Ali, Lecturer Dr. Khatam Ghazi Attia, and Assistant Lecturer Mustafa Wajih Hussein. The workshop aimed to shed light on the psychological challenges students may face in their academic journey in the Museum Hall

. The workshop aimed to instill in attendees the conviction that a decline in academic passion or facing academic difficulties is a common phenomenon and a natural human experience, not a personal flaw or an indication of failure, thereby seeking to create a university environment characterized by camaraderie and mutual empathy

The workshop organizers emphasized that the doors of the Educational Counseling Unit will always remain open to students, noting that taking the initiative to seek help is not a sign of weakness but rather a manifestation of self-awareness and psychological strength that enables students to overcome obstacles. In a related context, the workshop emphasized that these efforts directly contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 4 on quality education and Goal 3 on good health and well-being, by empowering future nursing staff psychologically and academically, and ensuring the continuity of academic excellence that serves the community and advances sustainable health outcomes in the country.
